The Lord has been speaking to me about strategies in this tumultuous time, as the battle has been so fierce. And I was contemplating Holy Spirit and His gifts. The word gifts in the Greek means extraordinary powers. We hear so much about the gift of prophecy, about the word of wisdom, or the word of knowledge but it is rare to hear any teaching, or even much emphasis on the gift of discernment. But these giftings are the same Holy Spirit power as demonstrated when Jesus was raised from the dead. They are all parts of that power. So in this hour of misdirection, misinformation, and unprecedented deception, we have great need for the power of Holy Spirit to give us God’s eyes to see and discern what is truth, and what is not. The search for Truth across the ages is universal, but today it could be a matter of life and death! Let us embrace, seek after and request this powerful spiritual gift in this hour!

An oasis is generally a fertile or green area in a desert, arid region where water is found, something that provides refuge, relief, or pleasant contrast. We think of it as a life-giving refuge from the harsh, hot, dry desert. As we learn to live in the spirit, we begin to realize that the Spirit led life is our oasis in this world. Our oasis is the Presence of the Lord. Where He is, there is living water in the desert of life! To avail ourselves of any oasis, we must walk in, drink, eat, rest, recover, heal, drink again. Can we live in the oasis? OF COURSE WE CAN. We learn to experience in reality every part of the life-giving treasure offered. We learn to explore every part of this delightful place. We learn to live there.
