Last Sunday we kicked off our At The Movies: Summer WORD Series by revisiting a powerful message Pastor J preached in 2021 from the blockbuster film Independence Day. That message reminded us that freedom is worth fighting for, victory requires unity, and it ain’t over until we win.
But this Sunday, we’re taking the conversation deeper with a fresh 2026 look at Independence Day: Resurgence. In this new message, Pastor J will challenge us to consider what happens when the thing we thought we defeated tries to come back.
Fear, insecurity, old patterns, toxic cycles, and broken thinking can all attempt a resurgence—but Christ has set us free, and we are called to stand firm in that freedom.
