Exposing another ceramic tint SCAM in Houston 🤦♂️
A common way consumers get caught in the “ceramic tint” scam is through unusually low prices. True ceramic window film is one of the most advanced and expensive types of film to manufacture, so when a deal seems far cheaper than normal market pricing, it’s often a red flag.
The issue is that most customers don’t have access to the specialized equipment needed to verify whether a film is actually ceramic or not, which makes it easy for some installers to misrepresent standard dyed or carbon films as ceramic.
This is why we take pride and providing transparent, heat tests and video proof upon request for our customers.
Here’s why it’s CHEAPER to do it right the first time than doing it twice!
BACKSTORY: this customer had a Tesla that they bought brand new. When it came to hiring for the Window Tinting service they opted to trust a person that was offering a “good deal” on the price.
Unfortunately, the job did not meet the expectations. When we observed it, we noticed scratches on the rear glass, as well as halfway done installation on the back window.
There was no fix for this other than a full replacement. This ended up costing the customer more than twice what would have cost of getting it done right the first time.
This reiterates, the age old saying “ the bitterness of poor quality long remains after the sweetness of a low price is gone”.
