1-Up

One of the hardest parts of getting older is losing the ones who helped shaped the core memories of your life. We laid our extraordinary, brilliant, beautiful Grandmother to rest last Saturday. I can never quantify in words what she has done for my life’s journey. She was a tour de force, with unwavering faith and a steel determination to keep her family together. I can only attempt continue my journey forward with the poise, perseverance, love, kindness and patience that she demonstrated while she walked her path. I’m so grateful to her for teaching me what family should be. I’m grateful to her for wholeheartedly believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. I’m grateful to her for grace when I did not deserve it. I’m grateful to her for encouraging me to hone my talents, and “volun-telling” me for things that put me in front of people. She helped me to overcome so much. I’m grateful to her for making me feel normal, but some how making me feel me extraordinary. She always seemed to know what I needed. I love you Grandmother. I will never forget the lessons you taught me. I will always continue your legacy of love and kindness. ❤️
