💙🧠 Kids are talking to AI more than ever but they still need real connection.

More families are noticing how children and teens are turning to AI and digital tools to cope with stress, anxiety, and big emotions. While these tools can feel easy and always available, they can’t replace the care, understanding, and guidance that come from real people.

Legacy Community Health experts recently shared what they’re seeing in conversations with Univision 45 and KRBE’s Around H Town podcast. One message stands out: kids don’t need quick answers, they need safe spaces, trusted adults, and support that helps them build healthy coping skills.

For families, this is a helpful reminder to:

đź’¬ Stay curious and check in on what your child is using

đź‘€ Notice changes in mood, behavior, or habits

📞 Reach out early if something doesn’t feel right

Who knew pickleball could be so powerful?

Our community came to play – and they didn’t disappoint. The inaugural Legacy Open brought the competition and team spirit together to rai over $50,000 for our behavioral health programs.

That means more access to mental health support, more care for our families, and people connected to the help they need.

đź’™ Thank you to title sponsor H-E-B and everyone who played, cheered, and showed up. You helped make a difference and had a great time doing it.

🧠💙 When your child is struggling, getting support shouldn’t feel complicated.

Kids and teens can experience anxiety, stress, or changes in behavior that aren’t always easy to recognize at first. Left unaddressed, these challenges can affect their confidence, relationships, and day to day life—but early support can make a meaningful difference.

Here are a few ways families can support their child’s mental health:

💬 Create space to talk — Even quick, low pressure check ins can help kids feel heard

👀 Watch for changes — Sleep, mood, focus, or energy shifts that last over time

🎯 Keep routines simple and consistent — Structure can help kids feel more secure

🌿 Encourage movement and downtime — Both help regulate stress and emotions

📞 Reach out early — You don’t have to wait for things to get worse to ask for help

For many families, one of the biggest challenges is actually accessing support. Between school, work, transportation, and busy schedules, it can be hard to fit in appointments.

That’s where pediatric telehealth can help:
📱 Connect with licensed providers from home

⏱️ Fit visits into your family’s schedule (after school, evenings, etc.)

đźš— No travel needed, reducing stress on both kids and parents

đź’¬ A more comfortable setting for children to open up

Sometimes the right support is simply making care easier to reach.

đź’™ Small steps, early conversations, and accessible care can have a lasting impact.

🧠📱 If your child is turning to AI for emotional support, you’re not alone and it’s something many families are starting to notice.

More kids and teens are using AI chatbots to talk through stress, loneliness, or big emotions. While these tools may feel easy and always available, they don’t always recognize when something is serious and they can’t replace real conversation or human support.

If you’re noticing this with your child, here are a few ways to help support them:

✨ Start the conversation: Ask what they’re using and why, without judgment.

👀 Stay aware: Notice if they’re choosing screens over friends, family, or activities they used to enjoy.
đź’¬ Make space to talk: Short, low pressure check ins can help them feel heard.

🌿 Encourage real world connection: Time outdoors, movement, or face to face interactions can help regulate stress.

📵 Create boundaries together: Simple limits like unplugging at night can make a difference.

These small steps can help build the confidence and coping skills kids need to handle stress in healthy ways. And if something feels off or overwhelming, reaching out early can make a real difference.

For families who need extra support, options like telehealth mental health visits can make it easier to connect with licensed professionals from home, especially when schedules are busy or getting to appointments is hard.

💙💊 Behind every prescription is a team committed to your care.

More than 230 members of Legacy Community Health’s Pharmacy team joined our 2026 Pharmacy Retreat, a day focused on connection, teamwork, and improving how we serve our patients.

The retreat centered on making care more accessible and affordable, strengthening teamwork across clinics, and finding better ways to remove barriers that can make getting medications hard. Every conversation came back to one goal: making sure patients get the medications and support they need to stay healthy.

Our pharmacy teams also spent time problem solving around patient experience, access to care, and how to continue delivering high quality service across our communities. The day included team building activities, appreciation moments, and celebrating the people who make this work possible, including recognizing Juan Damian, the first recipient of Legacy’s Pharmacy Pillar Award.

At Legacy, we know that great care doesn’t happen by accident. It takes teamwork, dedication, and people who care deeply about the communities they serve.

💙 When you pick up a prescription at Legacy, you’re supported by a team that’s focused on you.

💙🧠 You’re not alone and support is available.

If you’re a new or expecting mom, Maternal Mental Health Day is a reminder that emotional and mental health changes during pregnancy and after birth are common and nothing to feel ashamed of. Many new mothers experience perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), which can show up as sadness, worry, irritability, feeling disconnected, or simply feeling overwhelmed. These experiences are real, and they are treatable with the right support.

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as prenatal or postpartum checkups. Support can help ease symptoms, strengthen bonding, and improve well-being for both you and your baby and getting help early can make a meaningful difference.

For many new moms, finding time for care can feel impossible. That’s where telehealth can help. Virtual mental health visits allow you to talk with a licensed professional from home, during nap time, between feedings, or whenever it works best for you, without travel, childcare, or added stress.

Telehealth support may help with:

✨ Postpartum anxiety or depression
✨ Mood changes, stress, or emotional overload
✨ Feeling disconnected, exhausted, or unsure
✨ Mental health support for the whole family, when needed

If you’ve been wondering whether what you’re feeling is “normal,” or if you’ve been putting your own needs last, this is your reminder that help is meant for you too.
