Texas Charmed Life

My husband's birthday was last week, and Iwas inspired by a reel I saw involving Costco & I knew I had to mimic it. My husband is a HUGE fanatic of the exclusive "club" that is Costco, and this was a few weeks in the making. I contacted a bunch of our friends, and had them spread out through the warehouse. One friend said he needed help with picking up a couch they wanted & said he would need Mike's help.

We coincidentally bumped into 5 families while shopping. He really didn't think much of it, and continued on his merry way getting errands done. When we bumped into 2 families, he thought hmmmm, something is up.

We all gathered in the food court, and then it all made sense. We had the best time, having lunch, enjoying all our friends company, and had laughs.

One of the best parties that I've thrown in awhile, for sure!

This was my first Hyrox, I was absolutely terrified and nervous even with the training and the extra workouts that I did with friends and my husband, Mikey. As the day came closer, there wasn't much I could do but go in there, do my best, and have fun during the process.

The running seemed okay at first. But then combining running with stations proved to be incredibly hard. At one point, it was hard to take breaths of air, but I was able to get it under control. My memory was lacking to the point that we ended up running 3 extra laps - the board with our names didn't help at all. 👀😆 The medic was my best friend - in a good way. Biofreeze to the rescue + pickle juice. In the end, although extremely difficult, I had a great experience that I for sure will never forget.

Humongous shoutout to my partner, My () for really carrying us as a team. For never giving up on me, although those inner bitchy voices kept getting to me. For literally holding my hand and arm to get me through everything. I really couldn't have gone through this process and done it without you. You're a true friend if you'll go through all this suffering with me. 😆🤣 thank you!

To my new gym friends that trained with us, and to our coaches at .. for being patient with me even when I got confused, tired, and whiny.. for inspiring me to work harder, and do it the proper way lol.. I appreciate you and your guidance.

To my friends that are my family. You're my village. Seeing you out there supporting us meant the world to me. I held back the tears, but I was really happy that you were there.

To my husband and my 3 children. The light of my life. The loves of my world from day one. I dedicate this to you. You've seen me through challenging situations and have always held my hand with love and support. I couldn't do any of this without you.

Can I do it & want to do it again? Good chances of a maybe to yes. The Hyrox high is real. And I want to beat the time that we had bc I know we are strong enough to do it. God will tell me when.. give me 6 months to train though🤣
