Teens on the Run - Running, Learning, Growing

With great excitement, Teens on the Run is happy to announce its first program intern, Aledrian Kemp.

Aledrian is a University of Houston senior, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies. She plans to earn a Masters of Science in Family Science. Her goal is to help families grow and build healthy family relations. She will be working with Teens on the Run to build better partnerships and strategic planning. Barry Ward, Trees for Houston, executive director, gave a presentation about his organization. He discussed how important trees are to our environment. The different types of trees that are good to plant in Houston and how to care for a tree. Trees for Houston plants hundreds of trees all over Houston, including here in Oak Forest at Candlelight Park. Mr. Ward provide acorns and potting soil for our students to plant their own tree. We appreciate Mr. Ward's presentation and his time.
