Attention fans!!! When you think Houston Astros baseball history the most recent names probably jump out, and they should. They earned it. However, if you dig a little deeper, you'll find a name many have missed.... But East Side University - ESUVCLC didn't.

On October 14th, this provider will be celebrating 25 years of service to the community. As usual, this small but mighty accredited school hit a home run. They are bringing to event attendees a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet Houston Baseball Legend and History Maker J.C. Hartman, the first Black man to play for the Astros' founding major league team, the C**t .45s!!! J.C "The Spider" Hartman played in the Negro Leagues, is a retired Houston policeman, a barber’s college graduate, cut Willie Mays’ hair, AND debuted with the Col .45s at the age of 28 breaking local MLB equity and inclusion boundaries in the 1960s. Read the following article to learn more!
