not so much a VS situation but understanding that they are tied together...but pain points are often mistaken for the actual problem

easy example I hear a lot around HVAC and home services client calls are -
I need better or more "leads" (topic we go deeper into as well) - valid issue and easily seen as a problem . I need leads -> more leads -> more ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ --- I get it

Deeper look though shows that the Problem is more aligned to an ๐ˆ๐ง๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐ฌ๐š๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐œ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ and/or the lack of or non-existence of a system in place to bring in and follow up with consistent business.. both can be fixed for sure!

That being said, I am still learning to separate the 2 and dive deeper with people/clients/potential clients all the time (continuous learning is always required!)

๐—ช๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฑ๐—ผ ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ป?
It takes more work upfront, I won't lie. You'll have to ask more (good) questions, listen more intently, and think critically about root causes. (oh and go back and re-analyze your calls to see where you got it and may have missed something)

Once you understand the CORE of why they struggle, you can create solutions (potentially) that truly transform their business. ๐Ÿ™Œ This builds immense trust and appreciation for your service!

So next time you meet with a client, challenge yourself! ๐Ÿ’ช Resist the temptation for quick wins and put in the effort to get to the center of their problems. Your solutions will be stickier and your clients will thank you for it!
