It’s still blows my mind that I get to do makeup every day—both at work and in my own business.

When I moved to Houston in 2012 to chase my dreams, I had no idea where the journey would take me. I applied to Ulta, Dillard’s, MAC, and Morphe, hoping to land a position in makeup. Instead, I ended up in other departments, but I stuck with it, hoping I’d eventually make it. In 2017, I even got a MAC interview but never heard back until 2019!

After several times being told “NO” I eventually took matters into my own hands, freelancing and building my skills from scratch. No formal training, just a whole lot of hustle. Fast forward to today, and I’m finally doing what I was meant to do full time—and learning something new with every client.
