is an award-winning Indian American Director and Sikh activist, recognized as one of the youngest female directors in Bollywood and one of the only openly LGBTQ+ women directors in South Asia. She has directed for major TV networks and music labels, regularly partnering with organizations like PBS and YWCA, advocating for a better, more just future. We can’t wait to watch her latest short film , set to premiere at the Simons IMAX theater at the on Sunday, April 14th, at 8:30 pm.

In addition to her film work, is a wildly successful art activist, creating installation artwork for major galleries, including the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Her work is driven by her deep desire to create lasting change not only in entertainment but also in society.

Most recently, curated an exhibit ‘Pardafash’ featuring work from 11 distinguished Sikh artists, revealing hidden stories, trauma, and resilience that resonate with Sikhs across the globe. We are amazed at how is using her voice and inner strength to shape the world around her and are BEYOND thrilled to have her as our first guest blogger for the series - Q***R BADDIES - LOUD AND PROUD!

But life threw some unexpected health challenges my way, and the project had to wait. 🌱 Today, as I finally begin the blog series “Q***r Baddies - Loud and Proud,” it’s a mix of emotions – relief, excitement, and gratitude for this moment. 💖🌟 Tilted Lotus isn’t just a platform; it’s my heart’s mission to stand with and lift those whose voices often go unheard. 🌺🌈 Our values are rooted in inclusivity, empowerment, and celebration of diversity. 🌟✊ Each story shared here is a testament to the bravery and resilience of our community. It’s a reminder that when we unite, change isn’t just a possibility – it’s inevitable. 💫🌍 So, to all my Q***r baddies, take the center stage, rewrite your stories and paint the world with your bold and beautiful truths. 🎨

Here’s something special - slide 4 features the picture I uploaded on my website when Tilted Lotus first launched (and is still there). Back then, I was uncertain about how to fully support the values I claimed. A year on from the launch, these values have only grown stronger, and I’ve found meaningful ways to align my actions with my words. 🔥 Q***R BADDIES marks neither the beginning nor the end of this journey. Instead, it is one of many tools that bring me closer to my goal.
