My Born Again Experience

A pastor friend of mine posted.

Acts 8:15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Maranatha!

Many new converts remain weak, many fall into sin, and many backslide entirely. As you pray for the Church, its growth in holiness and devotion to God, pray especially for the young converts. Many stand alone, surrounded by temptation. Many have no teaching on the Spirit in them and the power of God to establish them. It is sin against the Lord to stop praying for others. Ask for grace to fill the role of intercessor with joy and give our life to bring down the blessings of heaven.

Abba, Father, be with those young converts who have little knowledge of Your Word. Fill them with the Holy Spirit. May they learn to delight in the Scriptures. In Jesus name, amen, amen, amen.

Romans 8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Maranatha!

What a difference it would make in the life of many of God's children if we realized this! What hope this gives us! Where and how does the Spirit pray for the saints? In the heart which does not know what to pray He secretly and effectually prays what is in harmony with the will of God. This of course implies that we trust Him to do His work in us and that we spend time with God even when we do not know what to pray.

Abba, Father, Search my heart, Lord and cleanse my heart and give me understanding through the Holy Spirit. May this Word give new light to my faith: "I believe in the Holy Spirit." In Christ I pray, amen, amen, amen.
