Fayette Fire In The Sky lit up Fayette County Fairgrounds again tonight — and yes, that fireball in the photo was exactly where it was supposed to be. Another great show for the community, and another great night of teamwork behind the scenes. Our members worked hand-in-hand with the show's pyrotechnic professionals to make sure every firework and flame effect went off safely, exactly as planned.

A big thank-you to our partner fire agencies who staged with us before, during, and after the show — your presence makes all the difference. And to our inspectors who put in the work year after year to keep this Fayette County tradition safe: we see you, and we appreciate you.

The Washington Court House Fire Department cordially invites the community to witness a proud milestone in our department's history — the Change of Command Ceremony formally transferring leadership from Fire Chief Timothy Downing to incoming Fire Chief Christopher Wysong.

This ceremony honors Chief Downing's more than three decades of dedicated service to this community and marks the beginning of a new chapter for our department. All are welcome to attend and be part of this historic occasion.

It is Safety Town week at the Fayette County Family YMCA - Ohio. This event has several agencies coming together and educating the children about safety.

Heads up, members! 🌲🚗
We are hosting Safety Town this week, which means the main gym will be closed all day Monday, all day Tuesday, and Wednesday morning (reopening at noon).

Don't worry, you can still get your cardio and workouts in—the walking track and field house are open standard hours. Thanks for helping us keep our community kids safe!

Tomorrow is the day! Fayette Fire In The Sky is holding their Drive-Through T-Shirt and Donation Event Saturday, from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Washington Court House Fire/Rescue Department. (225 E Market St. WCH, 43160).

Pick up a limited edition 250th Anniversary T-shirt with a $10 donation — and help fund the July 3rd fireworks show at the Fayette County Fairgrounds. The crew donates their time. The show runs entirely on community donations. Your support makes the difference.

WVNU will be on-site as well. Stop by tomorrow morning and be part of a tradition that belongs to all of us.
