6 ECE students received a scholarship through the IEEE Power and Energy Society Scholarship Plus Initiative! Students can receive up to $10,000 over three years. Selection criteria is based on students' academic performance, interests aligning with the power and energy engineering field, personal strengths, and Michigan Tech's power and energy engineering curriculum. ECE Assistant Teaching Professor Shane Oberloier was selected for the 2025 CTL Instructional Award in the category "Large Class Teaching." The award was presented by the Jackson Center for Teaching and Learning at a recent luncheon where Shane gave a brief presentation on his work that earned him the teaching award.
