LifeNet was honored to be part of the Kiwanis K.I.D.S. Camp! 🚑🚨 LifeNet Air Clinical Manager, Katie Robison, and Texas Division Clinical Manager, Bruce Townsend, had the opportunity to speak with campers about emergency medical services and the importance of staying safe while living with diabetes!

Education and prevention go hand in hand, and we’re grateful to partner with organizations that empower children and families with resources to confidently navigate life with Type 1 diabetes. 💚

For Katie, this opportunity was especially meaningful. Eighteen years ago, she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes herself!

“I felt alone in a journey that most people around me couldn’t fully understand, and I didn’t realize how much I was missing by not having a community of people who truly ‘got it.’ This camp has been a powerful reminder of how important those connections are. Helping these kids and their families navigate the daily challenges of Type 1 is something I’m passionate about. If I can help one child feel less alone or one parent feel more supported, then I’m happy. T1D looks like me!”
