40 Years of Ceramic Design – A Milestone Worth Celebrating!

On April 1st, 1985, I took a leap of faith and opened Ceramic Design in Hopkins/Minnetonka. What started as a small ceramic studio quickly became a lifelong passion, a creative home, and a community filled with incredible people.

For the past 40 years, I have had the privilege of sharing my love for ceramics with so many of you—teaching, learning, and creating alongside friends, family, and fellow artists. The memories made, the pieces crafted, and the friendships formed have been the heart of this journey.

To everyone who has been a part of Ceramic Design over the years—thank you. Whether you’ve taken a class, supported my work, or simply cheered me on, your kindness and encouragement have meant the world to me.

Here’s to 40 years of creativity, passion, and community—and to many more ahead!
