Congratulations to three outstanding Ignite Hoover Youth Leadership participants who have been selected for the 2026 Huntingdon College Economic and Community Development Scholars Program!

⭐ Isaac Eaker – Spain Park High School

These exceptional rising seniors were nominated by the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce in recognition of their leadership, character and commitment to making a positive impact in the Hoover community. From July 15–17, they will join students from across Alabama at Huntingdon College in Montgomery for this prestigious program, where they'll engage with state leaders, economic and community development professionals, and emerging young professionals to learn how leadership drives thriving communities.

We are proud to see these young leaders representing Hoover and can't wait to see the impact they will continue to make. Congratulations, Caitlyn, Kyndall and Isaac!

On May 12, 28 outstanding leaders officially graduated after completing a year-long journey of learning, collaboration and community engagement through Leadership Hoover.
Throughout the program, this incredible cohort strengthened connections, explored the issues and opportunities shaping our city and developed the leadership skills that will continue to make Hoover stronger for years to come.

Leadership Hoover is now accepting applications for the IGNITE Hoover Youth Leadership Program — an incredible opportunity for rising 11th and 12th grade students to grow as confident, informed leaders in our community.

Through IGNITE, students will:

✅ Build leadership skills
✅ Connect with peers and community leaders
✅ Gain real-world insight into making a difference locally

📍 Open to students who live in Hoover or attend Hoover City Schools
📅 Application Deadline: April 30, 2026
