The Alabama Kidney Foundation is proudly partnering with Rouses Market once again for our annual community Champaign! From July 1st - 24th every donation made at any Rouse's from Mobile to Orange Beach will go right back into supporting local kidney patients. As a state-based nonprofit, the AKF helps patients where they are today by providing transportation assistance and daily living needs assistance. Every dollar stays local, helping our neighbors when they need it the most. Just like Rouses is committed to serving our communities every day, they’re committed to supporting local nonprofits, and we couldn’t be more grateful to partner with them for another year. This campaign has become something we look forward to every summer! If you’re shopping at Rouses between July 1 and July 24, consider making a donation at checkout. Every gift, no matter the size, helps make a difference for local kidney patients!
Thank you, Rouses, for continuing to invest in the communities you serve. Let’s make this our biggest year yet

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Board Member, Charles C. Anderson, Sr.
Mr. Anderson first became involved with the Alabama Kidney Foundation as the 2020 North Alabama Honorary Walk Chair. The mission was deeply personal to both he and his wife, Hilda B. Anderson, and that personal connection inspired years of dedicated service to kidney patients and their families.
He later joined AKF's Board of Directors, where his leadership, generosity, and vision helped shape the future of our organization. Mr. Anderson was instrumental in establishing the Shoals as its own region, expanding our ability to serve local kidney patients and their families, and his generosity made it possible for Katie Gets a Kidney, our children's kidney health educational coloring book, to reach children in schools and hospitals across Alabama.
Mr. Anderson's commitment to improving the lives of Alabama kidney patients strengthened our mission and left an enduring mark on our organization. The Alabama Kidney Foundation would not be the organization it is today without his involvement, and we are forever grateful for his leadership and faithful service.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Anderson family, his friends, and all whose lives were touched by his generosity.
His legacy will live on through the work he helped make possible and the countless lives he impacted.
