Hooksett Fire Fighters Union
Today, between 16:01 and 17:10, your Hooksett Firefighters managed 4 calls simultaneously:
16:01 - Medical incident requiring extensive operations - E2, E1, A3, F1, UTV
16:57 - Medical incident - A2
17:01 - Medical incident - AMR as a mutual aid ambulance
17:10 - Motor vehicle accident - E1, A2
Due to the new department staffing policy, the town was fully staffed at 7 members from 07:00-17:00 today (3 members assigned to Station 1, 4 members assigned to Central).
Had the department been at minimum staffing (6), an additional mutual aid ambulance would have been requested to provide service to the town.
This is just one example of how staffing the department appropriately can ensure that emergencies are addressed quicker, and with members that are familiar with the town, rather than utilizing mutual aid.

Emergencies don’t take a day off, and neither do we. Your Hooksett firefighters work 24 hour shifts at a time to ensure the department is ready to respond 24/7, 365 days a year. ☀️🌑
“What happens if a call happens in the middle of the night?”
As long as companies aren’t committed to another incident, one of our stations will respond to an emergency, regardless of the time of day.
Oftentimes, our members will receive a call in the middle of another activity, whether it be training, grocery shopping, working out, or even sleeping at night. No matter what, your Hooksett firefighters will respond as quickly as possible, prioritizing the safety of the community. 🚒🚑
