Steve was one of the absolute BEST journalists and humans that I have ever worked with.

His honesty, his empathy, his intelligence and his joy were unmatched and unrivaled.

Our community is better for the years of work he did here.

He was also an advocate, ally and fearsome warrior for equity and equality.

He lived his truth and he stood by those who lived there’s.

Steve had my back and I had his.

This is such a heartbreaking loss.

Saturday, I was able to volunteer at an admissions open house for prospective students. Such a joy to meet so many families considering next steps for their learners.

The added bonus of doing this has also been meeting other current Uprep parents!!!
