It’s Friday! On Monday we started with asking WHY you do the work you do. After exploring a dream job (if money were no object), and clarifying a few most important values and your ideal day, what did you discover? Happy work happens when our WHY (from day one) resembles the beliefs we feel strongly about, and the work we look forward to.

We hope you’ve enjoyed this week of career thinking. If your work leaves you unfulfilled at the end of the day, consider this: either find a way to incorporate your talents and beliefs into your work, OR find new work that starts with those things. Scott Dinsmore says, “Either find the meaning or create it. Life is too short for anything else, and too long to be doing something meaningless.”

Good luck grad students! Let us know if you’d like to explore this topic further.
