When an organization touches as many lives on Maui as Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc., strong leadership is essential. I was glad to attend the MEO annual board installation to witness the swearing-in of their officers by former Judge Rhonda Loo.

Ned Davis will be returning to lead the Board of Directors as President. We also welcomed Jack Dowling and Erin Mukai as the newest members to join the board.

A big thank you goes to outgoing President Carol Reimann for her dedication and steady guidance. Thank you to everyone who steps up to serve our community through MEO. I also got to meet MEO’s summer interns!

Working together for the future of Maui Nui! 🌺

It was great to join Ka Ipu Kukui Fellows for the first annual alumni symposium. Gathering with fellow alumni and hearing about the diverse paths they have taken since completing the program was both inspiring and encouraging.

We also had the wonderful opportunity to listen to the innovative ideas presented by the participants of the Youth Program. Their energy and unique perspectives are vital as we look toward the future.

Ultimately, every conversation today centered around one shared goal: how do we make Maui Nui a better place? I am deeply grateful for programs like Ka Ipu Kukui that continue to cultivate the leadership necessary to achieve that vision.
