AIM YOGA -Asana In Me Yoga

I got all dolled upππ» to take myself on a date at the art museum to see an awesome local ukulele player, and at the last minute, it was canceled.π Bummer.π It's okay. I breathed, regrouped, put music on, practiced yoga, and had fun revisiting poses I hadn't done in a while.π§π»ββοΈππ¦ββ¬ It was fun just playing, my curls down, laughing, no agenda, I even took pics!π³π€³πΏπ©π»βπ¦±π Later on, the fresh mango, salad, pizza, and wine were on point!πβπΏπ₯π₯ππ· It was a great night after all, full of self care. π«ΆπΏπΈπ§π»ββοΈππ

Yoga challenge day 7π
Easy pose "sukhasana"
Topic: Gratitude & non-attachment
I chose this pose for non attachment reasons. I have a knee injury, and for months now I haven't been able to do this pose at all.π It seems so simple I know, but I couldn't do it, I missed itπ₯Ί and it's reminded and taught me to not have attachments- even to yoga poses.ππΏπ§π»ββοΈ
On the last day of this yoga challenge, I decided to go to a small Shinto Inari shrine in the neighborhood.β©π¦ There are SO MANY beautiful shrines and torii gatesβ© in Japan! I wanted my last day to be in a place iconic of Japan. This one certainly isn't the biggest or fanciest (there are places with THOUSANDS of torii gates, shrines, and temples) but fancy isn't the point, they are everywhere here, and ALL of them are special.βΊβ© This one is in a bustling city, on a very busy road with lots of people, houses, stores, buildings, and right by a high trafficππ tunnel entrance. You will still see people stopped, paying their respects, and praying.ππΏβ© I love how these shrines are all around, it's a chance to stop, breathe, reconnect, give thanks, and be aware of a higher power.ππΏβ€ I'm grateful to live here, learn, and be reminded of gratitude and a higher power all around us.ππΏβ©β€π§π»ββοΈππ

Yoga challenge day 5!
Wide angle forward fold "Upavistha Konasana"
Topic: womanhood & social equity
In my almost 44 yearsπ§π»ββοΈ on this earth, I feel womanhood has changed a lot in society- but there's still so much change and growth needed.ππΏ This pose, just like women will all look different, and can teach you many things.π I feel this pose is a balance of listening to your body, not going somewhere uncomfortable for you, but owning it- total commitment in the pose, yet also surrendering, relaxing into it, and know you're growing.ππΏπΈπtime.with.amanda
