I just counted, and it turns out I have nine sketchbooks currently in use oh my! But I promise, each book has a specific reason for existing, be it a project, location, medium, page proportion, a specific purpose… maybe kind of extreme but that’s how it is.

Here is a sketchbook from Feb and half March. It’s the one that floats around my house always ready to collect whatever random ideas come into my brain. It is small and cheap so I have zero reservations about what I’m putting into it: doodles, quotes, funny thing I see on insta, weird color combos, notes for ceramics projects, notes for illustration projects, backyard drawings, museum drawings, Wendy Mac’s .studio prompts… I kind of really love how random it all is and that I surprise myself when looking at the book later on….as if it’s someone else’s sketchbook. So weird how the brain works!

Yea so I love sketchbooks! Less sure about leading a drawing session 😬 but it’s happening…so I’m focusing on the “Let’s draw together!” part. This Sunday 5/17, 2pm at RSVP on their website (or just show up you can have my chair!)
