Final meal in Hawaii - pork roll with chips and obligatory massive dill pickle side. The Kalua Pork is amazing - a classic Hawaiian dish. In Hawaiian, the word kālua translates as “to cook in an underground oven.” It’s a complicated process, using a special firewood, lava rocks, covered with banana leaves then the whole pig is added with vegetables,more leaves to protect the meat and steam it. Finally dirt is thrown over the whole lot and cooked for a few hours. Yummy! 🌴 with
