Hawaiʻi QB Micah Alejado has been named the 2026 Mountain West Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, becoming the first Rainbow Warrior to earn a preseason conference Player of the Year honor since Bryant Moniz in the WAC before the 2011 season.

Alejado also earned preseason All-Mountain West honors alongside Pofele Ashlock, Elijah Palmer, and Jamih Otis.
