Been quiet lately.............. kinda digesting the rise in Covid cases in Hawaii ,new restrictions on Oahu , restart of travel pushed back again , and just how we are moving forward in this new climate. How is everybody doing ???

Wailua // North Shore - the day was spent enjoying the beautiful blue waters with a nice dip in the ocean. I havent really spent much time in this area so we strolled and walked around.

Waimanalo - a cute little town on the other side of Oahu . People are more laid back , traffic isn't really existent, fresh food stands on the side of the road and some of the best fresh air . We dont get there much but it was nice to sit in the silky sand to enjoy the beach.
Where is everyone traveling this summer sand or mountains ??????

Took some time to sit outside and enjoy the views of the city yesterday . Man plans and Gd laughs is the saying which is applying to the state of Hawaii right now. We got word they are now extending our mandatory quarantine till atleast September 1st. It seems we have to wait a bit longer to welcome people back to our beautiful islands. Till then we will be out enjoying the sights and working on different ideas and plans for Oahu Kosher going forward. We are still doing our Zoom classes for bagels and knishes so DM or email us [email protected] for more info. It's great for all ages , communities, groups , or anyone who wants to learn some new skills.

Todays Farmers Market haul -
We decided to scope out and get some fresh vegetables and fruit from some local farms today . The sun was shining with us sweating in our masks and standing in line to observe social distancing making the market experience a bit different now. We stopped at our first stall with only us allowed in so I didnt want to take too long . Fresh kale, herbs , Okinawan sweet potato , and cherry tomatoes. We got to 2 more stalls before it was time to head home with 2 bags filled. Best thing and one of the main reasons I came was LYCHEE from the Big Island ☺️ super sweet and fresh. Check out the farmers market on Wednesday 4pm - 7pm at the Blaisdell on the King st side.

Oahu has the most people from all the islands with the government and Capitol on it , we even have all 5 branches of the military here. I know you always hear about Maui , Kauai , the Big Island , Molokai and Lanai for being the authentic Hawaii people travel 1000s of miles for BUT dont count out Oahu. You may just find some beautiful spots , we definitely have and are loving discovering our island. Plus besides that we ship fresh made kosher meals to all the islands that have air cargo Oahu has fresh HOT made to order kosher meals delivered to your Airbnb , hotel , condo or home.

The knish factory Zoom shows have been great and it's been alot of fun meeting people around the world. Thank you Chabad of Greenstone , Golders Green , Norwood , the London Jewish Family Centre and the upcoming Riverside community and the others that have booked for future shows. Knishes are a great option for a snack or meal and have so many ideas for fillings dairy , meat , vegan or vegetarian. Milestones- during this time we are even more grateful to celebrate happy occasions. Happy birthday to our dear son who makes us roll with laughter at his silly jokes , who smiles with his eyes , is always game to try anything , and gives so generously to others. May you be blessed to always help others , share in many happy times , and shine ur light in this world.
