The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu joins the nation in celebrating National Arts Month (NAM) 2026!

This February, we proudly take part in National Arts Month, proclaimed under Presidential Proclamation No. 683. This year’s theme, “Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting,” highlights how art reflects our shared truths, histories, and collective aspirations as a people.

As we commemorate National Arts Month 2026, may this celebration remind us of the boundless creativity of the Filipino people and the enduring power of art to unite communities and reconnect us with our roots. Let us continue to honor our cultural heritage, champion our artists, and ensure that the stories of our people remain a source of inspiration for generations to come.

NATIONAL ARTS MONTH CELEBRATED AROUND THE WORLD

In line with the annual celebration of National Arts Month every February, the Sentro Rizal of the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu is proud to present Ani ng Sining: Diwa at Damdamin. The theme emphasizes the idea that the nation’s artistic expression is deeply rooted in the collective passion and spirit of its people.

Join us and experience the rich tapestry of Philippine culture and arts through the the online exhibit "Strong and Luscious," spearheaded by National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), in partnership with the Museo ng Kaalamang Katutubo (MusKKat). The exhibit features the utility and versatility of the abaca, a strong fiber obtained from Musa textilis, a non-edible banana native to the Philippines.

May this celebration not only serve as an opportunity to honor the creative talents of the Filipino people, but also recognize how art unites us and reconnects us to our roots. Together, let us honor our heritage, and ensure that our legacy continues to inspire generations to come.

Ang Kagawaran ng Ugnayang Panlabas at Pambansang Komisyon ng Pilipinas para sa UNESCO ay mayroong huling habilin para sa Agosto 2024, sa pamamagitan ng mga katagang isinulat ni Apolinario Mabini sa kanyang Dekalogo. Alam niyo bang si Apolinario Mabini ang unang Kalihim ng Ugnayang Panlabas?

Inaanyayahan ang lahat na pagnilayan ang mga salita ni Apolinario Mabini, ang kamalayan ng ating unang Republika. Maaaring may mapulot tayong aral sa walang kupas na mga salita ni Mabini upang patuloy nating ipaglaban ang kaunlaran at kalayaan sa kabila ng mga panibagong hamon ng modernong panahon.
