We’ve all seen it, many of us in our own homes, especially in our garage. It’s a common problem - Older steel doors rust, wood doors warp, split or twist, bottoms of door jambs rot from water damage. Sometimes age is the culprit but it’s especially common when there is not enough overhang to protect it from the rain. Rain water splashes onto the bottom of the door and frame causing extensive damage over time.

The good news is, doors and frames have come a long way. Fiberglass doors, which were at one time more expensive than wood or steel, are now competitively priced. They don’t rust like steel doors, and are much more resistive to warping, splitting, and twisting than wood doors. Keep in mind that all fiberglass doors are NOT created equal.
