🚒 Riverdale Fire Department is now accepting applications for Firefighter/EMT-B! 🚒

The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the Village of Riverdale, Illinois is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/EMT-B with the Riverdale Fire Department.

Immediate openings available.

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications established by the Village of Riverdale, including:• U.S. citizen• Valid driver’s license• At least 21 years old by May 11, 2026 and under 35 years old at the time of testing and when the final eligibility list is posted, unless exempt by Illinois statute• High school diploma, GED, or high school proficiency statement• Valid Illinois EMT-B at time of hire• OSFM Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter certification at time of hire• Valid CPAT card with ladder climb certification at time of hire• Ability to meet all other hiring standards, including written exam, oral interview, background investigation, polygraph, medical exam, and drug screening

Preference points may be awarded for military service, education, or qualifying fire service experience.
