FRIDAY, AUGUST29
Did you know that Amherst College students will be camping out, sleeping bags and all, in a couple of Holyoke churches for Labor Day weekend?! They will be getting acquainted with our fine and unique city in preparation for fall interships and volunteer work in the community. Come and enjoy a community dinner, by Capri Pizza, followed by pot-luck style dessert (please bring something to share), and then an open mic with your neighbors and the students. The location is El Mercado at 401 Main St., 6:30 for dinner and conversation, 7:15-9 open mic.

CRUSH Monthly Meeting, Holyoke Public Library Community Room, 7-9pm

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21
Are climate change issues important to you? Join your neighbors in the Big Apple for the People's Climate Change March on 9/21. A bus, departing from Holyoke, has been secured and partial funding raised to make the bus tickets affordable for Holyoke residents! To find out more:

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12
What about the Great Holyoke Block Party?! The mission of CRUSH is to make positive change in Holyoke by facilitating connections between people, resources, and ideas, so we are excited to announce that this year's block party will be a collaboration between CRUSH and Casa Cultural! We are joining forces to put on the Viva Great Holyoke Block Party to take place during a weekend-long series of event called, Next Stop Holyoke, which is organized by Passport Holyoke. Party-goers can expect to experience a combination of aspects of the Great Holyoke Block party and the Viva Holyoke Block Party. As always, we will need volunteers to help make the day a success.
