Happy Saturday from some super sweet piggies!

One thing we simply will not budge on is enclosures.

Enclosures that do not provide enough space or ventilation are a serious health hazard for guinea pigs.

Guinea pigs urinate and p**p A LOT! Small, cramped enclosures force them to stand or lay in soiled bedding, causing urine scald and painful pododermatitis on their sensitive feed. If left untreated, pododermatitis can make its way to the bone of the foot and cause permanent damage.

Furthermore, having four solid walls prevents open air flow, forcing them to breath constant ammonia fumes and CO2, putting them at a high risk of respiratory infection and organ damage.

We are not willing to send guinea pigs home to live in unsafe, high-risk conditions, under any circumstances.

Our adoption requirements exist only to protect the piggies we rescue and give them all the best chance of a healthy, happy life!
