Times Higher Education has just released the World’s Most International Universities 2026 ranking, with three Swiss universities featured among the top 20 worldwide:

• ETH Zürich - 8th (9th in 2025)
• EPFL- 9th (10th in 2025)
• Université de Genève - 17th

ETH Zurich and EPFL rank first and second respectively in continental Europe for internationalisation. 🌍

The institutions that rank ahead of Swiss universities are located in Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. Congratulations! 👏

Why does this matter?
Research suggests that diverse student communities enhance teaching and learning, while opportunities to study abroad help prepare students to become global citizens. 📝

This ranking is based on several criteria, including the proportion of international students, international staff, international research collaborations, and overall global reputation.
