We’re feeling deeply grateful, humbled, and truly honored to be among the top restaurants in California—receiving and retaining our Michelin Star for 2026. Here at Kali, we’re thankful to the Michelin Guide for this recognition and especially appreciative of the continued support from our wonderful clients, year after year.

This star belongs to everyone who makes Kali what it is—our hard-working staff who give their all to delivering exceptional hospitality night after night. We also want to thank all past and present team members who built this restaurant over the years and contributed to its success, legacy, and heart.

Like so many restaurants—and like our city—these last few years have been challenging. To meet the changing times, Kali made a meaningful decision last year: we rebranded and reinvented ourselves to be more accessible. We created a menu that’s more balanced and affordable while staying true to what matters most—quality, integrity, and great food.

That shift from California-based tasting menus to a Hollywood steakhouse was a major pivot. It demanded courage, creativity, and teamwork—and it has proven to work. We’re proud of the direction we’ve taken through the different times and difficulties, and grateful for everyone who supported us along the way.

We’re a small mom-and-pop restaurant with a big heart. We focus on cooking with the best quality ingredients we can each day, and we take pride in teaching future cooks—helping them grow into chefs through mentorship and guidance.

Hollywood and Los Angeles are in troubled times, and we want to acknowledge that reality. We hope this Michelin Star continues to benefit us and helps us push through these challenges with pride, self-worth, and purpose. We genuinely love what we do, and we look forward to going to work every day to serve our amazing guests across the city.
