๐Ÿง ๐Ÿพ Enrichment Matters!

Did you know that keeping your cat mentally and physically stimulated is just as important as providing food and a cozy place to sleep?

Enrichment helps prevent boredom, reduces stress, and can even decrease unwanted behaviors like scratching furniture, excessive meowing, or nighttime zoomies!

Here are a few easy ways to keep your cat happy and engaged:

๐Ÿฑ Rotate their toys so they always have something "new."
๐Ÿชถ Use a wand toy for 10โ€“15 minutes of interactive play each day.
๐Ÿงฉ Try puzzle feeders or hide treats around the house for a fun treasure hunt.
๐ŸชŸ Set up a window perch so they can watch birds and squirrels.
๐ŸŒฟ Add a cat tree or climbing shelves to encourage exploring and exercise.
๐Ÿ“ฆ Never underestimate the entertainment value of a simple cardboard box!

Remember, enrichment doesn't have to be expensiveโ€”it just takes a little creativity and time.

๐Ÿ’ฌ What is your cat's favorite toy or activity? We'd love to hear (or see photos!) in the comments! ๐Ÿฉท

โ˜• A Morning at Pawsitive Cause Animal Rescue...

Before most people have had their first cup of coffee, the cats are already letting us know it's breakfast time. ๐Ÿ˜ธ

Our mornings usually look something like this:

๐Ÿพ Feed everyone (and convince the picky eaters to take a few bites).
๐Ÿงน Scoop what feels like a mountain of litter boxes.
๐Ÿงบ Wash blankets, towels, and dishes.
๐Ÿ’Š Give medications to cats that need them.
โค๏ธ Spend time socializing shy kitties and making sure everyone gets a little love.
๐Ÿ“ž Answer messages, schedule
appointments, and coordinate with fosters.
๐Ÿ›๏ธ Restock supplies and
find room for one more donation.

And that's all before lunch!

Rescue isn't glamorous, but every scoop, every load of laundry, every medication, and every cuddle helps a cat move one step closer to finding a forever home.

We're curious... what do you think takes up the most time each day at a cat rescue? Leave your guess in the comments!

Help us, help Petey. โค๏ธ

Since he was just a tiny kitten, Petey has struggled with chronic gastrointestinal issues. Despite countless veterinary visits, diagnostics, treatments, and tests, we still couldn't find the cause of his ongoing vomiting and diarrhea.

After exhausting every other option, it was recommended that Petey undergo a GI scope in hopes of finally getting the answers he desperately needs. While we're hopeful this procedure will help us determine the best treatment plan for him, it came at a significant cost and has nearly drained our rescue's medical fund. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

If you have it in your heart to help, please consider making a donation toward Petey's GI scope and medical care. Every dollar, no matter the amount, helps us continue providing lifesaving care to cats like him.

Most importantly, please keep Petey in your thoughts and prayers as we wait for answers. We are hoping this is the first step toward giving him the healthy, happy life he deserves.

Thank you for always standing behind our rescue and the animals who need us most. โค๏ธ
