Yesterday our team of Business Leaders had the wonderful opportunity to hold our meeting at the Eastern North Carolina Regional Skills Center.
Our meeting began with an excellent breakfast prepared by their Culinary Arts Students and ended with a tour of the facility.
Thank you to Mrs. Huie for coming up with the idea and setting everything up for us. We were blown away by both the school and staff. What an incredible resource to these local students!

Congratulations!! So proud of all the DECA students and Mr. Shreve! We are excited to see what the future holds for you!

Good luck to the DECA students (and Mr. Shreve!) as they head to states!! We are cheering for you all and have no doubt you will do incredible!

We want to express our gratitude to the 21 Businesses (many of which were Dixon Graduates 🐾) that came out yesterday to support Dixon High School students for our first Career Exploration Showcase event. Thank you for taking time out of your day to share more about your career, your journey and answer all the wonderful questions that the students had for you!

To the students: 👏👏 great job to all of you for being so engaged with the businesses. We are inspired by your curiosity and drive and cannot wait to see what you go out in the world to accomplish!

What a wonderful day with Mr. Shreve’s class and the inspiring group of students there! A very special thanks to Cathi Lichter from the Greater Topsail Community Garden for spearheading the day and our other community partners!

We are excited to announce our very first DECA chapter here at Dixon High School! DECA is a nationally recognized organization and offers a great opportunity for our students to build leadership skills, compete in exciting events, and open doors for their future college and career success. Our mission is simple but powerful: To empower the next generation by strengthening collaboration among local industry leaders, educators, parents, and students. We're all about experiential learning, career exposure, and fostering community connections!
