A couple of months ago, I posted a Scottish manor home I did in Bountiful some 25 years ago. More recently, we completed a guest house on the property, in the original style and connected by breezeway to the main home. I don’t believe the term guest house does it justice so I thought having its own post might! So happy with the way it turned out and how seamlessly it blends with the original architecture, as if it has always been there. Hope you enjoy!

And for something a little different from my most recent posts…a new home on the boards for a client who was looking for classical Italian Palladian architecture. There is something about classical architecture that just hits for me!

Another home breaking ground in the Red Ledges Golf Community. This modern take on a craftsman style is just under 5000 SF and has five bedrooms. So fun to design the architecture and interiors on this one. This home is for sale! Can’t wait to see it come to life!

Had this antique industrial drafting stool for the last 50 years and it’s seen better days! You know what that means—weekend refurbishing project! Bottom of legs were pretty chewed up so I got some cross sawn oak pieces, used some wood glue and clamps, a band saw and a lot of sanding to reshape the legs. A little stain and varnish and looks brand new! Just need to recover the seat. Such a rewarding project!

Have been having so much fun designing this cabin up in Big Cottonwood Canyon. City and county entities have been a bit challenging but oh so worth it! This vacation home is breaking ground in about a month. Can’t wait!

So satisfying to restore my wife’s mother’s old drafting table from the 50’s. Betty was a fine artist and also a draftsman creating topographical maps by hand for the oil and gas industry in Texas.
Sandy had the old table shipped here and I took it apart to completely restore it. Now it sits in Sandy’s office already with a few interiors projects on it! Anyone who knows me knows I love a good project!
