💙 Blue Collar Electric recently donated all of the electrical work, lighting and light poles (installed by our friends at Gorilla Netting) for Our Lady of Lourdes Dunedin, FL athletic fields.

We’re thrilled to have played a key role in bringing the magic of Universal’s Epic Universe to life! Over 17 weeks, our Gorilla Netting team installed all the aesthetic railing netting, barrier stanchion ropes (those essential queue barriers), overhead safety netting, drop-catch netting, and general barrier netting across the park’s incredible lands—from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and beyond. Twenty-four years ago, on September 11, 2001, our nation faced an unimaginable tragedy that forever altered the course of countless lives. The 2,977 souls lost that day—mothers, fathers, children, friends, and heroes—remain etched in our collective memory. We honor the firefighters, police officers, and first responders who ran toward danger, sacrificing their lives to save others, and the ordinary citizens who showed extraordinary courage amid chaos. Their selflessness reminds us of the strength that binds us as Americans, a resilience that endures through grief. Today, we pause to reflect on the fragility of life, the cost of freedom, and the enduring need to stand together against hatred and division. May we carry their memory forward by fostering unity, compassion, and hope for a world where such loss is never repeated.

On the eve of this solemn anniversary, we mourn the tragic loss of Charlie Kirk, a vibrant voice for truth and freedom, taken from us by a senseless act of violence on September 10, 2025. Charlie’s unwavering faith in God guided his life and work, anchoring his mission to inspire young Americans to embrace their heritage and stand boldly for their beliefs. Through Turning Point USA, he championed conservative values with a fervor rooted in his deep Christian conviction, trusting that divine purpose underpins our nation’s promise. His assassination at a Utah speaking event leaves a void in the hearts of millions, yet his legacy endures in the countless lives he touched. At Gorilla Netting, we employ and support people of all backgrounds and beliefs, and are supporters of free speech—values we see reflected in Charlie’s courageous advocacy. We lift up his wife, Erika, their children, and all who loved him, praying for comfort in their grief and strength to carry forward his vision. May justice prevail, and may Charlie’s soul rest in eternal peace, guided by the faith he held so dear.

We’re proud to announce the completion of Phase 4 of our sports netting project for Palm Harbor Parks & Recreation, enhancing safety and enjoyment at Putnam Park and Sunderman Complex in Palm Harbor, Florida.

At Putnam Park, which hosts soccer fields, baseball, and softball fields, we installed a 320-foot-long, 35-foot-high perimeter netting system using #36 4-inch nylon netting on new wood poles, supported by powerline-grade hardware and wire rope. This robust solution ensures balls stay in play during soccer matches and baseball/softball games, protecting spectators and surrounding areas while withstanding Florida’s weather.

At Sunderman Complex, featuring baseball and softball fields along with one sand volleyball court, our custom netting provides durable containment for high-energy play, offering unobstructed views and long-term reliability. Backed by our 5-year full coverage warranty on materials, labor, and equipment, this project reflects our commitment to delivering turnkey solutions Built Gorilla Strong.™

Gorilla Netting partnered closely with Steven Lynford and the Palm Harbor Parks & Rec team, completing the installation in an estimated 5 days from crew arrival. This upgrade supports the vibrant recreational programs that unite families and athletes in Pinellas County.
