Named the 2024 World Champion Cheese at the World Championship Cheese Contest, Hornbacher is a washed-rind Swiss Alpine cheese crafted by four-time world champion cheesemaker Michael Spycher. 

Aged for 12 months, it develops rich, savory notes of roasted hazelnuts, caramelized onions, brown butter and deep umami, with a creamy yet slightly crumbly texture. Often nicknamed “the baked potato cheese,” it’s become a favorite among cheesemongers and cheese lovers alike.
