HOBBS RADIO STATION WINS EIGHT STATE BROADCASTING AWARDS, INCLUDING STATION OF THE YEAR, FOUR NEWS AND SPORTS AWARDS

Hobbs, NM – Noalmark Broadcasting Corporation’s radio station KIX103 (102.9fm KIXN)
has been named “Station of the Year” for Medium Market Radio in 2026 by the New Mexico Broadcasters’ Association in Albuquerque. Station personnel garnered eight awards, including four for news and sports, presented during the NMBA Annual Excellence in Broadcasting Awards Convention June 5 at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North.
Entries that aired from April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026 were judged by broadcast professionals in similar-sized markets from several other states.

Additionally, three student broadcasters for Noalmark from Tatum were recognized in the student video production category for high school athletics: Tripp Angell, Adriana Ybarra, and Kaden Souter.
New Mexico Market Manager Aaron Forrister said the recognition from the NMBA reflects the dedication and excellence demonstrated every day by the Noalmark broadcast team.

KIXN, also known as KIX103 at 102.9fm, is one of five radio stations owned by Noalmark Broadcasting that are licensed to serve communities in Lea County, including KZOR 94.1fm, KLEA (KOOL) 95.7fm, KPZA 103.7fm, and KEJL (EAGLE) 100.5.fm.
