Updated!!! MRC Highlights for week of July 13

Presentation with Indiana Dunes on Thursday, 1:30pm: Rooted in History Looking Ahead. A guest speaker from the Dunes Learning Center will guide us through the rich history of the Indiana Dunes and the story behind the Learning Center and a new sneak peek at the newly renovated Good Fellow Lodge.

Sarah’s classes are on summer break for this week and is back on July 20. Front gym is closed all month on Tuesdays.

Monday Stretch is at 9am. Pinochle is played everyday at 8:30am. Ukulele at 10am. Oil Painting at noon. Pickleball is every day in the Back Gym but please be mindful of the heat. Beanbags on Mondays and Fridays in the front gym at noon. Bocce is in the front gym at 11:30am Monday, Wed. and Fri. Come out and join us!!

Tuesday breakfast is from 9-10:30am and is sponsored by Realty Executives. The menu is Choice of Ham, Sausage, or Veggie Breakfast Casserole, and Sausage Links. Dominos, Euchre and Pool Tournament start at 10am. Mah Jong play is at 10am. MRC Band at 11am. April’s IT class is on ZOOM at 3pm. All MRC members are welcome to join in!

Wednesday Art class with Carol at 8:30-11:30am. Stretch Plus is at 9am. Meditation with Lisa at 11:30am. Hand and Foot card game, Pay Me Card Game and Euchre all play at 12:30pm.

Thursday we’re going to have a special guest, Wiggles driving her Wigglemobile! It’s Tim & Althea’s dog driving a car. Come see her in the gym at 11am!! So cute!! Also Cardio Drumming is at 10am. Book Club at 10am. Bridge play and lessons, Dominos and Pool Tournament start at 10am. Beginner Mah Jong for beginners is at 10am. Lunch is at 11:30am-1pm and is sponsored by Brentwood at Hobart and the menu is Chicken Salad on Croissant, Potato Chips, Fresh Fruit And dessert. Vanessa is here with chair massages, sign up on the front counter. Scrabble at 12:30pm. Birthday Card Club is meeting at 12:30pm please join us! We’re making birthday cards for our members. Knitting Club is on a break for summer. The Summer Market at Festival Park is and every Thursday evening this summer! We will have our MRC Book Barn and we’re looking for volunteers to help work at it. See info on the front counter. And, if you come to the Market, make sure to visit us at the Book Barn.

Friday, “MRC Recycle Fridays” for MRC MEMBERS is from 8am-noon!! Recycle bins will be outside MRC front doors for MRC Members to drop off: (These items ONLY!!) PAPER and CLEAN/WASHED ALUMINUM CANS!! (NO plastic, glass, cardboard, etc.) Chair Yoga stretch with Sue is at new time start at 9:00am. Diamond Art/Scrapbooking at 10am. It’s Bingo this week at 12:30pm, bring $5 prize. Come out and join us!!

Beginner oil classes will be 11-1 pm starting on 7/21, please see Aimee or Laurie if interested in joining.

Monday Stretch is at 9am. Pinochle is played everyday at 8:30am. Ukulele at 10am. Oil Painting with Laurie at noon. Pickleball is every day in the Back Gym. Bocce in the front gym at 11:30am this week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Tuesday breakfast is from 9-10:30am and is sponsored by Heart to Heart Hospice and the menu is Ham, Egg & Cheese Casserole, Fruit Salad / Catered from Cracker Barrel. Pool Tournament start at 10am. Mah Jong play is at 10am. MRC Band at 11am. Any member is welcome to join in. The front gym is closed all Thursdays this month for a kids event.
