Advocacy Day 2026!

Yesterday, Free Period Talk student advocates used their voices at Advocacy Day at the State House! (Their efforts were also recognized by Senator Warren!) Students are often responsible for lobbying their school communities, (and often face opposition), for product access. When products are available student use consistently shows positive outcomes. That means less missed class time and more engagement with sports and extracurricular activities. We have well over 100,000 low income menstruators enrolled in MA public schools and 72% of our school nurses report kids missing out on their education simply because products aren’t available. A big thank you to Senator O’Connor for securing over a million dollars for Free.’s distribution program over the years. Last December $500,000 was made available for our public schools and every penny was spoken for within just 26 hours. While we celebrate over 500 schools receiving products, a significant amount went unfulfilled. MA consistently ranks at the top of the list for education in the nation, yet half of the population still doesn’t have a biological need met at school. It is time for the I AM bill to pass so EVERYONE in the Commonwealth can live and learn with dignity! #endperiodpoverty #periodsuppliesareschoolsupplies

We are excited to partner with Free. once again this March to collect menstrual supplies and package period kits for students and adults - because everyone should live and learn with dignity.

You are invited to join the Hingham Women's Club on March 12th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Johns, 172 Main Street, for an evening of collaboration with the Hingham Women's Club and Free Period Ministry. Our joint initiative aims to ensure equitable access to menstrual products for individuals across the South Shore. This event is not merely a social gathering, but a dedicated service project during which participants will assemble period packets for those in need.
In partnership with HWC and Free Period Ministry, we are committed to creating 100 period packets to benefit Quincy Family Resource Center, Interfaith Social Services, and Health Imperatives/Blue Hills Healthy Families.
We welcome donations of menstrual products, which should be provided in their original packaging. Should you be unable to attend, contributions may also be made via Venmo to HWC (), and the funds will be used to procure necessary supplies on your behalf. Through these efforts, we aim to support communities throughout the South Shore by distributing essential products.
