Paliku Surf

ʻUlu

We planted an ʻulu tree as part of the traditional blessing for the opening of Palikū Surf.  There are Honoliʻi where we surf each day, we chose a site on the southern side, where could watch as it grew.  Five years later the tree is healthy and big!

Our ulu leaves remind us of the kuleana we have to malama our community.  We want to inspire others through our work and design that living in Hilo we are blessed with place, knowledge, and experiences.
