The Hawaii Fire Department reports a wildland fire in South Kohala and has issued a Wildfire Warning for the Waikoloa Village.

Due to the wildland fire, be advised:

Building 4 and 5 of the Lofts have been evacuated.
The following roads are closed: Waikoloa Road from Paniolo to Highway 190.
The following roads are open for local traffic only: Waikoloa Road from Paniolo to Queen Kaahumanu
Please expect traffic delays. Avoid the area when possible
The following evacuation shelters are open: Waikoloa Elementary School Cafeteria.
