Friends, More tamales are being made this Monday morning!

Our Tamale Fundraiser continues this evening. We are serving Green Sauce tamales with chicken and Red Sauce tamales with pork.

All proceeds go towards new equipment, boxing tournament fees, scholarship fund for college bound athletes, and travel expenses for our boxers.

How does a $2000 scholarship sound?

The Hillsboro Police Community Advisory Group is accepting applications for our Youth Participation and Scholarship Program!

Students who want to serve the community by advising the Hillsboro Chief of Police on important community matters can apply by July 31 to join the Hillsboro Police Community Advisory Group.

One youth selected to serve on the advisory group during the 2023-24 school year will also receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Officer Ernesto, raised in Washington county shared with us his journey to become a community leader. The difficult internal challenges he had in believing in himself and the importance of mentors, community involvement and extracurricular activities. Officer Ernesto mentioned that as an employer and a leader he looks for youth that step up and go above and beyond in their occupations and hobbies.
Stepping into the ring is a hard and intensive experience that is only possible by having a vision, showing up day in and day out and respecting your peers, coaches and yourself. Challenging yourself to learn, compete, volunteer and to give back makes you not only an outstanding boxer, a model community member but also an attractive candidate to those jobs, internships and scholarships we want to receive for our development and establishment of profession.
