1 more week till we test the work you've been putting in the past 6-8 weeks💪🏼
Why test 1RM for baseball players, when we know it doesn't directly correlate to performance on the field?🤨
1) It serves as a useful tool throughout other cycles later in the year to know your true 1RM, as we can more accurately prescribe percentages to hit the training stimulus we want💯
2) There is a time and place for it. These guys have been prepping and building to it, and are about to go into a long offseason where on-field demands will be minimal. We are utilizing this time to build a good foundation of strength🧱
3) Collegiate athletes are probably going to do it on their own anyway (we've all been there), so might as well do it when there is a true preparatory phase leading up to it📈
