Great work my our Local Firefighters @ Milford and Highland Twp Fire Department

A tremendous accomplishment for two of our own. Firefighter/Paramedic Cord Smith and Firefighter/Paramedic Blake Fotopoulos were honored for their exceptional actions during a recent mutual aid response with Milford Fire. On arrival, they found Milford firefighters already performing CPR on a patient in cardiac arrest. FF Smith and FF Fotopoulos quickly took over patient care, providing advanced life-saving interventions on scene. Their efforts resulted in ROSC (Return of Spontaneous Circulation), and the patient was successfully transported to the hospital, later making a full recovery and being discharged just days afterward.

Today, FF Smith and FF Fotopoulos, together with our partners at Milford Fire, were presented with Life Saver Awards by the Oakland County Medical Control Authority. Congratulations to both of you on this well-deserved recognition!
