If God already knows what you need, why ask Him for anything at all?

Because prayer is a way of knowing God, not just informing Him.

A lot of people treat prayer like a transaction. They bring a request, hope for an answer, and move on. But Jesus taught us to approach God as a Father who wants a relationship with His children. 🙏

Think about it this way. Good parents do not want their kids to only talk to them when they need something. They want conversations. They want trust. They want connection. The relationship matters just as much as the request. 💡

Prayer is not about finding the right words or saying enough of them. It is about stepping into God's presence and learning to walk with Him. In that place of fellowship, He shapes and teaches us! 💙

“Your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!” -Matthew 6:8

Why do people want grace for themselves but justice for everybody else? 💭

We hope God looks at our lives with mercy, patience, compassion, and forgiveness. We want Him to see the full story, understand our struggles, and remember the good more than the bad. But when it comes to other people, we're quick to become harsh and critical.

Jesus challenged that mindset directly. The same mercy we hope to receive from God should change the way we treat the people around us. 🙏

If you want God to deal gently with your failures, make sure you are not being unnecessarily harsh with someone else’s. 💙

“For judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” -James 2:13

Showing grace to people is easier when they think like you, live like you, and agree with you. The real test comes when someone makes you uncomfortable, frustrates you, or sees the world completely differently from you...

Christians accidentally start acting like God’s mercy only belongs to certain kinds of people. But every single one of us has needed forgiveness, patience, kindness, and grace from Him more times than we can count. 🙏

Jesus never called His followers to look down on people. He called them to love people while still holding onto truth. You cannot forget how much grace you have received and still treat people like they are beyond hope.

The people around you are not your enemy. They are people God still loves deeply. 💙
