What may look like a coffee table at first glance is actually something far more storied.

This piece is an original bed from Nagaland, hand-carved from a single piece of wood. Unlike newer examples made with more modern cutting techniques, this one still shows the beauty of traditional craftsmanship, entirely shaped by hand.

Originally, these elevated beds were used to keep sleepers safely off the ground, offering protection in heavily forested areas where snakes were common.

Today, it takes on new life as a striking coffee table for a modern home, carrying with it generations of history, craftsmanship, and character.

That is what makes sourcing so special. Every piece has a story.
