I took apart and redone a very bad skylight removal. They left the skylight structure and framed it with 2x2s. No insulation! That will always move with the temperature difference and crack. Add really bad drywall patching and you should not get paid.
Folks, please don't pay for this kind of work! The guy will only get worse. Run him out of business!
I removed everything from the attic. Cut out a larger section of drywall. Framed it properly and restored the insulation. Then patched it smooth, stain-killed and painted the entire ceiling. No sign of a patch left and no future cracking.
WENCED IT!

Hot day at the office.

New contemporary fireplace surround with tiled back door entrance area.

Full kitchen remodel.
Walls separating kitchen, dining room and foyer were removed.
As usual I forgot to take before pictures.
